|We raise two breeds of geese, Brown
African and Brown Chinese. Both
breeds are descendants of the Swan
Goose, and come to us from the Asian
These are neither quiet nor bashful
creatures, but have a very regal and
elegant appearance. They have a lot
more personality than you would think
possible in a bird.
The Chinese tend to lay more eggs
than the African, but both breeds will
go broody. Their eggs are
considerably more difficult to hatch in
an incubator than that of a chicken.
For this reason, we generally have a
Muscovy duck sit to keep the goose
Hatchlings are available in spring and
early summer only.
