|We raise two breeds of turkeys,
Narragansett and Royal Palms.
The Narragansett is the grand daddy
of American Turkeys, originated by
crossing domesticated Central and
South American turkeys with wild New
England turkeys. They are great meat
birds - i have a 40 lb. Tom.
The Royal Palm is said to be a smaller
cousin of the Narragansett, weighing in
at about 20 lbs. One quality the Royal
Palm exhibits is a ferocious appetite
Both breeds are great layers, and it
isn't uncommon to see 2 or 3 hens lay
on a large brood of eggs.
Both species would be a great
addition to any barnyard.
